The Bulls also sent the Bucks to the line 14 times, where they hit all their free throws. Defensively, the Bulls grabbed 41 rebounds, allowing 6 offensive boards, and recorded 4 steals and 6 blocks.</p><h3>Does Charlotte Have What it Takes at Home?</h3><p>Charlotte’s season continued to be a struggle as they fell to 7-24 after a 106-94 home loss to the Thunder on Saturday. The Hornets were +13.5 point underdogs going into the game and managed to cover the spread. The total points for the game were 200, which was 14 points under the pre-game line of 214.</p> <p>Charlotte fell behind early, losing the 1st quarter 28-22 and the 2nd quarter 33-24. They trailed 90-74 going into the 4th quarter but held the Thunder to just 16 points in the final period while scoring 20 themselves.</p><p>The Hornets struggled offensively in their loss to the Thunder, shooting just 36.2% from the field and hitting 11 threes at a 32.4% clip. Bridges scored 10 points in the 4th quarter, while Micic added 6 of his own in the final period.</p><p>Defensively, the Hornets struggled in the 2nd quarter, giving up 33 points, but they tightened up in the 4th, allowing just 16 points. Overall, they allowed 106 points on 47% shooting from the Thunder.</p> <p>Charlotte did well defending the three, holding Oklahoma City to 10 made threes on 26% shooting. The Thunder also went 12/14 from the line. The Hornets finished with 9 steals and 5 blocks.</p>

<p>It only took Kyle Larson four points races in his return to secure his first win. He now has four of them and is riding a nice streak with four wins in a row, if we include the NASCAR All-Star Race.</p>



<p>I guess that means we might as well just bet him this week, right? Well, it may be a little more complicated than that as we take a look at a doubleheader this weekend at Pocono Raceway.</p>

<p>We see Kyle Larson priced as the favorite this week and there is really no reason to make anybody else the favorite with how well he is running. With last week’s win and six stage wins over the last three races, he has closed Denny Hamlin’s points lead to just 10. He also has 32 bonus points, which, at this point, basically guarantees him entry into at least the Round of 12, if not the Round of 8.</p>



<p>Hamlin has been going in the wrong direction lately, finishing outside the top five in five straight races, but he’s been really good at Pocono in his career, so he’s still getting some respect in the odds. Martin Truex Jr. has one top-five finish in his last five races, but with three wins on the season, he has a short price as well.</p>



<p>One name that keeps moving up the odds board is William Byron, who was third last week in Nashville and has finished in the top 10 in all but one of the oval track races this year.</p>



<h3 id="h-rack-em-and-stack-em"><strong><u>Rack ‘Em and Stack ‘Em</u></strong></h3>



<p>Hamlin still has that small points lead, which could very well be gone this week if he doesn’t right the ship. Larson is second, followed by Byron in third and then Chase Elliott in fourth. Elliott was disqualified last week for loose lug nuts, so he finished 39th. Joey Logano is fifth in points.</p>



<p>The rest of the top 10 reads Kyle Busch, Truex, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Blaney, and Brad Keselowski, though there have not been many top-five finishes across that group of late. Austin Dillon, Alex Bowman, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell, Chris Buescher, and Michael McDowell round out the top 16.</p>



<p>Kurt Busch is 17th and on the outside looking in at the playoffs. These two races at Pocono are likely his best chances at a win to guarantee a spot.</p>



<h3 id="h-pocono-preview"><strong><u>Pocono Preview</u></strong></h3>



<p>Pocono Raceway is known as the Tricky Triangle. It is the most unconventional layout on the NASCAR circuit. It isn’t a road course, but the turns narrow like those on a road course. It also has elements of an intermediate oval track. It is a huge asphalt track that measures 2.5 miles in length. There are very long straightaways and some hard-braking turns.</p>



<p>Not everybody likes this track. Turn 1 is 14 degrees and banked like the Trenton Speedway in New Jersey. Turn 2 is like the “Tunnel Turn” at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and banked at eight degrees. Turn 3 is the six-degree turn reminiscent of the Milwaukee Mile. Shifting and braking are really important here and we do see some crashes and some major mechanical malfunctions.</p>



<h3 id="h-pocono-points"><strong><u>Pocono Points</u></strong></h3>

<p>Denny Hamlin has six career wins at Pocono and his average finish over 30 races is 11.3. Among drivers with at least 10 starts, Keselowski is the only one better in 11th place. Hamlin’s six wins are twice as many anybody else, as Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch have three apiece. Truex has two. Keselowski, Blaney, Buescher, Logano, Harvick, and Ryan Newman all have one victory.</p>



<p>Harvick and Kurt have the most starts here among active drivers with 40 and 39, respectively. Not surprisingly, they have the most top-five finishes with 14, but Hamlin has 13 in his 30 starts. Keselowski is the only driver with at least 10 and he has that number in just 22 starts.</p>



<h3 id="h-a-young-gun-to-win"><strong><u>A Young Gun to Win?</u></strong></h3>



<p>William Byron has six career starts at Pocono and has one top-five finish and four top-10 finishes. That isn’t as strong as Erik Jones, who has eight starts here with five top-five finishes and six top-10 outcomes. Jones is not with Joe Gibbs Racing anymore, though, and it has been a really tough season for him.</p>



<p>Aric Almirola led the most laps and finished third in the first Pocono race last year, so he may be somebody to keep an eye on this week as well.</p>



<h3 id="h-the-last-10-starts-at-pocono"><strong><u>The Last 10 Starts at Pocono</u></strong></h3>



<p>If we whittle this down to the last 10 races, Byron and Jones have obviously done well, since all of their starts have come in that time period. Harvick has a win and seven top-five finishes with nine in the top 10. He’s finished on the lead lap nine times and has been in the top 10 in all nine.</p>



<p>Keselowski has six top-five finishes and eight in the top 10. Kyle Busch has won three times, with two wins for Harvick. There are a lot of guys that have had some measure of success here, including guys that are not running overly well this season.</p>

The Milwaukee Bucks did what they needed to do in Game 6. That means that we’ll have a Game 7 on Saturday and the winner will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The loser will have a lot to be frustrated about. If the Bucks come up short, they’ll look at a golden missed opportunity. If the Brooklyn Nets come up short, they’ll wonder what could have been with a healthy roster.

The deciding game features Brooklyn favored by one point at home with a total of 215 at <strong><a href="http://bangthebook.com/sportsbooks/betus/">BetUS Sportsbook</a></strong>. We’ve seen a huge correction in the totals for this series, as the first game was 239.5 and we’ve progressively gone down from there. Depending on the source, the under is 5-0-1 in this series.

Let’s see what Game 7 could bring.
<h2><strong><u>Milwaukee Bucks</u></strong></h2>
What Kevin Durant did in Game 5 was spectacular. The Milwaukee Bucks made a strong commitment to not let it happen again. After Durant put the Nets on his back in Game 5 with 49 points over 48 minutes, the Bucks focused all of their attentions on the future Hall of Famer. He still shot 50% from the floor and had 32 points, but it sure wasn’t 49.

The Bucks really sold out on the defensive end in a way that we have not seen in any other game in this series. Brooklyn only shot 44.4% from the floor and just 30% from three. The Nets also proved to be human at the free throw line with eight made shots on 14 attempts.

The honest truth is that Milwaukee has to sell out on defense because nothing has really worked on offense. The Bucks were once again inept from three, making just seven of their 33 attempts. They shot 45% from the floor, so two-point shots were falling, but the three-ball has not been a weapon for Milwaukee in this series. Typically, when you’re seeking out a series upset, the three-ball is the great equalizer. The Bucks are shooting 28% on threes in this series.

Yet, they still have a chance to win. It probably won’t be talked about that way, as the Bucks will be viewed as a team that simply got lucky that James Harden and Kyrie Irving got hurt. We could also say that the Nets have gotten lucky that Khris Middleton has had a relatively rough series and that Giannis Antetokounmpo has not been himself either.

Those two have scored with volume, but Giannis is shooting 56.5% overall and just 24% from three. Middleton has picked it up a little from distance at 37.8%, but he is only shooting 42.1% from the floor overall. The Bucks are shooting under 68% as a team at the free throw line and Giannis is shooting under 46%. It has not been a pretty series at all.
<h2><strong><u>Brooklyn Nets</u></strong></h2>
James Harden was less than 100% in Game 6, but at least his 16 points were more than the five points that he had in Game 5. Harden was 5-of-9 from the floor and continued to be more of a decoy than an actual offensive piece in the game. His Usage Rate was under 18%, as Kevin Durant took 30 of Brooklyn’s 81 field goal attempts. Harden did make a few threes, which was nice to see after an 0-for-8 performance a couple nights prior.

The harsh reality for the Nets right now is that Durant needs to find a way to get in the ballpark of 50 or the Nets have to have a monumental Game 7 defensively. Harden is clearly laboring. Joe Harris and Blake Griffin have intermittently contributed offensively. Sometimes Jeff Green has hit a shot or two. It’s the Durant Show right now and KD has to be far and away the best player on the floor.

It can happen. And, look, the Bucks are having that horrific performance from three in this series. The Nets turned the ball over 16 times against just 14 assists in Game 6. Durant is going to have to find a way to trust somebody to score, if for nothing else to eliminate any hope of transition offense for Milwaukee. It’s not like the Bucks look great in the halfcourt.

It is hard to say with a game that the Nets lost by 15, but they weren’t that far away from being in the game. Milwaukee had twice as many free throw attempts and outscored the Nets by 15 at the free throw line. That was largely it. The two teams were pretty even from the floor, but Brooklyn didn’t take care of the basketball and dug too deep of an early hole.

They have no excuse not to, but it feels like the total is a safer play here.

We have not seen many good shooting performances in this series and Game 6 was played at the slowest pace of any. We should expect more of the same in Game 7, even with the total adjusted to the degree that it has been.
