Detroit gave up 7 offensive rebounds but managed to record 9 steals and 4 blocks.</p><h3>Will the Nets Find a Way to Win at Home?</h3><p>The Nets fell to 13-23 on the season after a 113-99 home loss to the Pacers on Monday. Brooklyn, who entered the game as +10.5 point underdogs, failed to cover the spread, losing by 14. The combined score of 212 points fell short of the 221.5-point total.</p> <p>Indiana took control with a 15-0 run, turning a 48-39 deficit into a 54-48 lead. Day'Ron Sharpe led Brooklyn with 16 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 61.5% from the floor.</p> <p>Tyrese Martin added 15 points, while Noah Clowney contributed 14, with 9 of those coming in the 3rd quarter. Clowney also connected on 3 threes, shooting 30% from deep.</p><p>Defensively, the Nets had strong 1st and 3rd quarters but struggled in the 2nd and 4th, allowing 31 and 35 points, respectively, in their 113-99 loss to the Pacers. Indiana shot 50% from the field, including 38% from beyond the arc, where they made 12 threes.</p> <p>Brooklyn sent the Pacers to the line 23 times, where they converted 21 free throws. The Nets gave up 5 offensive rebounds while recording 8 steals and 3 blocks.</p>

<strong>Atlanta Braves at Cleveland Indians – Sunday, 4:10pm (PST)</strong>

After a successful debut with NFL Prop Bets, I’m back for the MLB season taking a slightly different approach to betting these games. You can find one of the most thorough daily MLB write ups here on this site from Adam Burke so I’ll be doing something a bit different.

Every weekend, I’ll be posting a play from Sunday Night Baseball looking along the edges for opportunities in the prop betting market. Some good bets can be found looking at 1st inning scoring, 1st five innings sides or totals and looking at individual player props. Let’s get creative and have some fun!

We’re back in the black baby! Week 3 was a successful one, going 6-2 making some cash and putting us in profit for the year (13W-11L +$245)

Holiday Easter isn’t going to slow us action junkies down, so keep reading and hopefully we’ll find a couple winners to distract you from having to discuss your career ambitions with your father in law over some lame ass dried ham.

This week feels eerily similar to last week’s write up where I’m leaning towards a pitcher’s duel but again don’t have much faith in the bullpens so I’m a bit cautious. Atlanta, specifically used up 11 bullpen innings yesterday in their double header compared to Cleveland’s 4.2 so if Max Fried doesn’t go 6+ innings then they’ll be in trouble. This is one of the reasons I like Fried to get some K’s as I think they’ll leave him in there as long as possible and the Indians rank 8th in the league for the most strike outs. More stats you say? Well Cleveland also ranks 28th in OPS and 27th in BAA versus lefties so there’s some reason to think they’ll struggle today. I know, I know….Lindor is back and they scored 15 runs yesterday (2 games) but I’ll still be siding with the lefty here for a good outing.

On the other side, we have Shane Bieber, who has been solid this year up against an above average hitting line up in Atlanta. The thing to note here is that the Braves have crushed lefties this year (#2 in OPS) but have been just average versus right handed pitching. (Hint: The Biebs is a righty)

In 3 starts this year, his stat line looks pretty impressive (2W, 19IP, 9H, 3ER, 6BB, 20k) and it actually looks pretty similar to Max Fried’s (2W, 18IP, 13H, 2ER, 3BB, 12K in his 3 starts) This combination of solid starting pitching and the fact that the Braves aren’t as good versus righties and that the Indians struggle versus lefties is part of the reason I like the 1st 5 innings under.

I’ll leave you with a PSA for future parents out there….Don’t name your kid something that you don’t like the shortened nick name for. I recently came across a child named Maximillian where the Father corrected me when I called him Max. Just ridiculous!

The Bears were +5.5 point underdogs at home and didn’t cover the spread. The game’s total points of 158 exceeded the O/U line of 154.5.</p> <p>Trailing 46-37 at halftime, Morgan State couldn’t close the gap in the second half, scoring 35 points while allowing 40.</p><p>In their last game, Morgan State's offense was led by Kameron Hobbs, who scored 22 points, and Drayton Jones, who added 20. Davion Everett contributed 18 points, shooting 75% from the field, while Omar Croskey chipped in 17 points, hitting 2 of 4 from beyond the arc.</p> <p>The Bears shot 53.1% from the field, with an effective field goal percentage of 57.1%. They connected on 41.7% of their three-point attempts, going 5 for 12, and struggled at the free-throw line, hitting just 57.7% of their 26 attempts. Morgan State finished with 14 assists and 6 offensive rebounds in the game.</p><p>Even with Morgan State giving up 86 points, the Bears couldn’t capitalize defensively, allowing their opponent to shoot 53% from the field. <p>Coastal Carolina and East Carolina will battle for the Birmingham Bowl and $1,374,545 of prize money when they face at Protective Stadium. The Pirates are -7.5 favorites on <a href="https://www.bangthebook.com/sportsbooks/mybookie/">MyBookie Sportsbook</a>, while the total is set at 63 points. These non-conference rivals will meet for the first time.</p>



<p><strong>Chanticleers lost the Sun Belt Championship game to Troy</strong></p>



<p>The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (9-3-0, 4-7-1 ATS) finished the regular season atop the Sun Belt East thanks to three consecutive wins, so they could afford to relax and lose to James Madison. The Chanticleers won their second division title in three years but were outclassed by the Troy Trojans in the championship game. Troy had a 31-0 and 45-13 lead throughout the tilt, and although the Chanticleers managed to score a couple of touchdowns in the final 15 minutes, it wasn’t enough to avoid a big 45-26 defeat.</p>



<p>Grayson McCall completed 29 of 41 passes for 319 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. He also contributed a rushing touchdown, while Reese White led the team in rushing yards with 44 on eight carries. Tyson Mobley was excellent in the air with a team-high 109 yards and a TD on seven receptions. Sam Pinckney and Jared Brown also scored receiving touchdowns and combined for 154 yards on 16 catches. Defensively, Lance Boykin led the Chanticleers with eight tackles.</p>

<p><strong>Pirates scored late to edge Temple</strong></p>



<p>The East Carolina Pirates (7-5-0, 7-5-0 ATS) managed to avoid the third loss in a row despite allowing season-high 46 points to the Temple Owls. They did score a season-high 49 in a 49-46 victory thanks to a late touchdown scored with only 1:11 remaining on the clock. The teams were pretty tied in total yards, but the Pirates forced one turnover and committed none in return. Jsi Hatfield returned a kickoff for a 97-yeard touchdown in the second quarter.</p>



<p>Holton Ahlers completed 25 of 37 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns. Keaton Mitchell exploded for a career-high 222 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Keaton Mitchell and Isaiah Winstead were strong in the air as each scored a receiving TD and combined for 141 yards on nine catches. Jaylen Johnson also found the end zone through the air. Even four of East Carolina’s defenders chipped in double-digits in tackles. Jireh Wilson, Myles Berry, Julius Wood, and Teagan Wilk combined for 44 tackles.</p>

<p>Coastal Carolina will be delighted to have QB McCall ready for this game even though he entered the transfer portal. McCall is the Sun Belt Player of the Year in 2022 as he threw for 2,633 yards and 24 touchdowns with just two interceptions. East Carolina is slightly better in every offensive/defensive segment, but McCall’s availability is the main reason I am backing the Chanticleers to cover. The Pirates do have more experience in Bowl games, but this will be the third straight Bowl game for the Chanticleers and the third in the school’s history. On the other hand, East Carolina will play its first Bowl game since 2015. The last year’s tilt with Boston College at Military Bowl was canceled.</p>

<p>These rivals are averaging around 30 points per contest and don’t have strong defenses, so we could have a high-scoring affair with multiple touchdowns on each side. Over is 10-4 in the Chanticleers’ last 14 non-conference games; Over is 7-3 in the Pirates’ previous ten games after allowing more than 40 points in their last game, while Over is 9-4 in East Carolina’s last 13 games following an ATS loss.</p>
