San Francisco has lost two straight, including a 38-10 blowout loss to the Packers in week 12. The 49ers were 6.5-point underdogs in that game but couldn’t cover the spread. This dropped their ATS record to 4-7, and they’ve now failed to cover in three straight games.</p> <p>Our projections give the 49ers a 16.4% chance of making the playoffs and a 12.9% chance of winning the NFC West. They currently sit 4th in the division with a 1-3 record. San Francisco is 3-3 at home and 2-3 on the road this season.</p><p>Heading into week 13, the 49ers are 12th in our offensive power rankings, averaging 23.6 points per game (13th) and 384.5 yards per game (4th). They rank 4th in passing yards, with 246.2 per game, on 30.5 attempts per game (20th). In the run game, they are 10th in attempts and 7th in rushing yards, averaging 138.4 per game. San Francisco is 6th in 3rd-down conversions but ranks 21st in red zone efficiency, despite being 6th in attempts.</p> <p>Christian McCaffrey had 31 rushing yards on 11 carries in week 12, and George Kittle led the team with 82 receiving yards on 6 catches. Brandon Allen threw for 197 yards, completing 17 of 29 passes, with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. The 49ers struggled on 3rd down, converting only 3 of 10 attempts, and they failed to score in the 1st and 4th quarters against the Packers.</p><p>In their 38-10 loss to the Packers, the 49ers' defense gave up 169 rushing yards on 42 attempts, averaging 4.0 yards per attempt. Despite allowing 325 total yards, the defense limited Green Bay to just 156 passing yards on 13 completions. The Packers capitalized with two passing touchdowns and converted 46.2% of their third down attempts.<p></p>San Francisco's defense managed two sacks and had a tackles for loss advantage of +2.</p><h3>Are The Bills Going To Defend Home Field Advantage?</h3><p>Buffalo’s win over the Chiefs in week 11 extended their winning streak to six games, bringing their record to 9-2. The Bills are now in first place in the AFC East and rank second in the conference. Our projections give them a 100% chance of making the playoffs and winning their division. Heading into week 13, they are third in our NFL power rankings.</p> <p>Buffalo is 7-4 against the spread this season, including two straight wins. In week 11, they covered the 3-point spread with a 9-point win over Kansas City. The over has hit in three straight Bills games, including week 11, when they and the Chiefs combined for 51 points, surpassing the 47-point line.</p><p>Josh Allen threw for 262 yards and a touchdown in week 11, completing 27 of 40 passes against the Chiefs, while also rushing for 55 yards on 12 carries. He avoided being sacked but did throw one interception. The Bills' offense came alive in the 4th quarter, scoring 14 points after being shut out in the 3rd. They converted 9 of 15 3rd-down attempts and scored on 3 of 4 red zone trips.</p> <p></p><p>Buffalo ranks 3rd in the NFL in points per game, averaging 29.1, and is 13th in passing yards per game with 226.1. They also rank 13th in rushing yards per game, averaging 119.2. Despite being 2nd in red zone attempts, they rank 28th in conversion percentage at 6.4%.</p><p>In their 30-21 win over the Chiefs, the Bills' defense allowed just 78 rushing yards on 17 attempts and held Kansas City to 181 passing yards. Despite giving up three passing touchdowns, Buffalo's defense came away with two interceptions. The Bills allowed the Chiefs to convert on 50% of their third down attempts and finish with a 69.7% completion percentage.<p></p>Buffalo's defense pressured the quarterback effectively, coming away with two sacks and winning the quarterback hit battle by a margin of +3.</p>

<p>It’s almost tournament time in the sport of college basketball, and not the big tournament that is held in March. There are a number of early season tournaments that take place throughout the country, and the ESPN Invitational is set to begin on Thanksgiving dDay.&nbsp;</p>



<p>There are eight teams set to compete in the ESPN Invitational and six of those teams were in the NCAA Tournament a season ago. That should create a terrific event this year, and it’s also going to provide some great betting options as well.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Here is a look at the ESPN Invitational betting odds, with a betting pick included.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-two-big-favorites">Two Big Favorites</h2>



<p>When looking at the field of eight for this event, there are two teams that really stand out at first glance. That is true with the betting odds as well as both the FAU Owls and Texas A&amp;M Aggies are going to be the betting favorites.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The betting odds for each of these teams are set at +250, and both the Owls and Aggies feel like they can go on deep runs in March later this year. FAU is going to get a slight boost from the home crowd, but you can expect to see plenty of Aggies fans in Florida as well.&nbsp;</p>



<p>FAU is a team that has had a ton of success and they also have some experience that will come in handy in the later stages of this tournament. Texas A&amp;M brought in a ton of talent this offseason, and they are hoping that things start to gel quickly.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-rest-of-the-field">Rest of the Field</h2>



<p>Before discussing the rest of the teams in this event, here is a look at the betting odds for the other six teams:</p>

<p>Iowa State and Boise State look like the two biggest challengers to the betting favorites, and they are on the other side of the bracket. That could give the Cyclones and Broncos a clear path to the championship game, and that’s something to consider.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The rest of the field is full of some teams with a lot of question marks, but there is still talent there also. You can easily see these teams make a run, but it’s going to take some upsets along the way to get that done.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Penn State has to deal with Texas A&amp;M in the first round, while Butler has to deal with FAU. That is why you see the odds for those teams so low, and you will also see some large spreads in those matchups.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Boise State and Virginia Tech are set to meet in the first round of this event, and it will be the final game of the day. It might be worth waiting to see which of these teams win, as they will then be right in the mix.&nbsp;</p>



<p>You are going to see some great value in betting on any of these six teams, but you are also taking a pretty big risk.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-can-t-go-against-the-owls">Can’t Go Against the Owls</h2>



<p>The tournament organizers didn’t set this tournament up too well as the two best teams are likely to meet up in the second round. While that should almost guarantee a game between FAU and Texas A&amp;M, one of those teams won’t even make it into the final game.&nbsp;</p>



<p>You don’t always want to just bet on the favorites in an early season college basketball tournament, but that’s the best option in this one. Go with the FAU Owls at +250 to win the 2023 ESPN Invitational. </p>

Picking the ESPN Invitational Winner

<p>The Stanley Cup Playoffs gets underway Monday night when the New York Islanders visit the Carolina Hurricanes for Game One of their first round series. Carolina won the Metropolitan Division and earned the second seed in the East. New York secured a spot in the playoffs in their final game and will be the seventh seed. Below is my NHL pick for the Islanders vs Hurricanes.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-why-bet-the-carolina-hurricanes"><a></a>Why Bet the Carolina Hurricanes:</h2>



<p>✅ Carolina has been dominant against the Islanders, winning 13 of their last 15 meetings.</p>



<p>✅ New York has not been good on the road and have lost four of their last five games away from UBS Arena.</p>



<p>✅ Against the Hurricanes, the Islanders have lost six of their last eight games in Carolina.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New York Islanders Looking to Keep it Close</h2>



<p>The New York Islanders left it late, but they clinched their spot in the playoffs with a tough 4-2 win, over the Montreal Canadians, in their regular season finale. New York had 10 less wins than the Hurricanes during the regular season, but they play a style that should make it hard for Carolina in this series.</p>



<p>New York struggles to score as they average 2.95 goals per game but allow just 2.65. Brock Nelson did it all this season as he led the Islanders with 38 goals, 39 assists, and 75 points.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Carolina Hurricanes are Heavy Favorites</h2>



<p>Carolina was one of the better teams all season long, but it took until the final day for them to clinch the Metropolitan Division title. The New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers made it tough for the Hurricanes as all three teams had at least 107 points on the year. Carolina finished the regular season winning two straight games and will look to carry that momentum into this series.</p>



<p>The Hurricanes won the regular season series 3-1 and that will bring them confidence heading into the best-of-seven format.</p>



<p>Carolina is scoring 3.20 goals per game and allows an impressive 2.55. Martin Necas has had a nice season as he leads the Hurricanes with 43 assists and 71 points. Sebastian Aho scored a team leading 36 goals on the year.</p>
