They won the first and came up just short in the second. Drew Lock is a bit of a gunslinger, in the sense that he takes shots down the field. His average of 9.4 Intended Air Yards per attempt is tops in the NFL.

And Lock, who is without Courtney Sutton, has been able to make a nice connection with rookie Jerry Jeudy. And this Raider team is one of the more permissive in the NFL when it comes to defending against the pass.

Because Denver has all the capability in the world to run it, the resulting balance, we're figuring, gives them a shot at an upset, especially since there is no "home field advantage" that we can perceive from the Raiders' new home at Allegiant Stadium.

But we also acknowledge that this number on the total is kind of reasonable. Vic Fangio came to this head coaching post in Denver with a reputation as a defensive mind. And we're sure that was well-earned. Still, this team was lucky to have held then-Oakland to 39 points combined in the two meetings last season, despite 650 yards through the air for Derek Carr, who we should note has been intercepted only twice so far.

We're okay going OVER the total in this one, and that is the way Jon Gruden's squad has been trending (6-1-1 to that effect on the year).
<h3><strong>BUFFALO BILLS at ARIZONA CARDINALS, 4:05 PM ET</strong></h3>

This suggests to us that the Cardinals can do some business on the ground. And it looks very much like Kenyan Drake, who was sitting out with an ankle injury, is going to get an opportunity to play. They've scored 30 or more points for games in a row, and currently they rank second in the league in rushing yards per game. Imagine that for a moment - did you ever think you would hear or read someone saying that when Kliff Kingsbury and his Air Raid offense took over last season?

Josh Allen is coming off a huge game against Seattle, in which he passed for over 400 yards. But when you think about it, that's not so far above the average passing yardage the defenseless Seahawks have surrendered on a per-game basis. The Cards are considerably more difficult to throw against, and as we continue to mention when discussing this team, they are the league's second best defense in red zone situations (allowing just 50% touchdowns).

Considering some of that, we feel a little bit comfortable, at this number, siding with ARIZONA.

<p>Joe Gibbs Racing has three drivers atop the Cup Series Drivers’ standings, but we’re fading current co-top seed Martin Truex Jr. as his recent four races have been disappointments, with 18th place being his best finish.</p>



<p>However, teammate Christopher Bell has been rapid in the playoffs, capturing three consecutive pole positions and scoring two top-ten finishes, including winning both stages and leading the most laps at Bristol before finishing third. In four career Cup Series races at Texas, Bell has two top-five finishes and an average finishing position of 15.3</p>



<p>More impressive than Bell is Denny Hamlin. Hamlin’s playoff push is only rivaled by Larson, having two top-three finishes in the Round of 16, leading the most laps, and winning both stages at Darlington before dropping to a 25th-place finish. Hamlin has three career wins - with a Fall win back in 2011 - and seven top-five finishes in 32 career races at Bristol.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-23-xi-racing-s-tyler-reddick">23 XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick</h3>



<p>Tyler Reddick (+700) is the third playoff driver who won their way into the Round of 12 - alongside Larson and Hamlin - and has prior success at Texas, winning this race in 2022. Reddick has two top-two finishes in the playoffs but finished a disappointing 15th at Bristol. He has one win, two top-five, and three top-ten finishes in four career races at Texas.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-can-any-ford-pull-an-upset">Can Any Ford Pull an Upset?</h2>



<p>With three Fords left in the Round of 12, we don’t like Ford’s chances of winning at Texas. However, RFK Racing and Team Penske could each pull off the upset if the circumstances and situations present themselves.</p>



<p>Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney (+1200) races well at Texas, having two top-five finishes in his previous four races and eight in 14 career races. Blaney has only one top-ten finish in the 2023 Playoffs.</p>



<p>RFK’s Chris Buescher’s history at Texas isn’t great, having zero top-ten finishes in 13 career races. However, this season could be where Buescher breaks through, considering he has three top-five finishes in the last four races.</p>

<p>The Kings will be sick after this loss as they scored three first period goals and led 3-0 until early in the second period. Edmonton answered that 3-0 first period with a three-goal period of their own and this game was tied at three going into the third. The two teams exchanged third period goals, with the Oilers scoring with under four minutes to go, to force overtime. Ultimately, the Oilers scored 10:39 into the first overtime to get their first lead of the game and, more importantly, the win.</p>



<p>Gabriel Vilardi, Viktor Arvidsson, Anze Kopitar, and Matt Roy all scored for the Kings. Six different Los Angeles players recorded an assist in the defeat. </p>

<p>What a whirlwind of emotions for Edmonton fans this series as they have seen their team just a few shots away from potentially sweeping the Kings and resting at this time. Instead, the series is tied at two and now nerves will be a factor in a best of three series.</p>



<p>Leon Draisaitl, two goals, Evan Bouchard, Evander Kane, and Zach Hyman all scored in the win. Six Oilers recorded an assist on the night. </p>
