<p>A fun Western Conference First Round series continues Tuesday night when the Los Angeles Kings visit the Edmonton Oilers. This series epitomizes the NHL playoffs and, if you are a neutral fan, may be the best series we have in this first round. Below is my NHL pick for the Kings vs Oilers. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-los-angeles-kings-coming-off-a-tough-loss">Los Angeles Kings Coming off a Tough Loss</h2>



<p>Game four was a similar story in this series as the Edmonton Oilers needed overtime to win 5-4. It was the third time in four games that this series needed overtime, but they first time the Kings were not the team to get the OT win. </p>



<p>The Kings will be sick after this loss as they scored three first period goals and led 3-0 until early in the second period. Edmonton answered that 3-0 first period with a three-goal period of their own and this game was tied at three going into the third. The two teams exchanged third period goals, with the Oilers scoring with under four minutes to go, to force overtime. Ultimately, the Oilers scored 10:39 into the first overtime to get their first lead of the game and, more importantly, the win.</p>



<p>Gabriel Vilardi, Viktor Arvidsson, Anze Kopitar, and Matt Roy all scored for the Kings. Six different Los Angeles players recorded an assist in the defeat. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-edmonton-oilers-are-a-roller-coaster">The Edmonton Oilers are a Roller Coaster</h2>



<p>What a whirlwind of emotions for Edmonton fans this series as they have seen their team just a few shots away from potentially sweeping the Kings and resting at this time. Instead, the series is tied at two and now nerves will be a factor in a best of three series.</p>



<p>Leon Draisaitl, two goals, Evan Bouchard, Evander Kane, and Zach Hyman all scored in the win. Six Oilers recorded an assist on the night. </p>
