<p>Colorado is searching for the seventh consecutive victory when they host Anaheim at Ball Arena. The Avalanche are -380 moneyline favorites on <a href="https://www.bangthebook.com/sportsbooks/bovada/">Bovada Sportsbook</a>, while the total is set at 6.5 goals. These conference rivals will meet for the first time this season.</p>



<p><strong>Ducks beat Arizona on the road</strong></p>



<p>The Anaheim Ducks (14-29-3-2, 20-28 ATS) are currently on a six-game road trip and will conclude it with a tilt against Colorado on Thursday. After losing the opening two of that trip, the Ducks won two of the previous three, including the latest one over the Arizona Coyotes. That win helped them to escape the rock bottom of the Western Conference and now the Ducks have 33 points but are way outside of the playoff picture.</p>



<p>Anaheim got to a 4-0 lead early in the third period in Arizona, and although the hosts managed to answer with a pair of quick goals, Adam Henrique sealed the deal for the Ducks with an empty-netter. Cam Fowler was the first star of the game with a pair of goals and three points, while Troy Terry also contributed three points. This year, Terry (G 13, A 28) and Trevor Zegras (G 17, A 24) lead the Ducks in points with 41 apiece.</p>



<p>John Gibson (8-20-4) will probably start at the goal against Colorado on Thursday. The 29-year-old is surrendering 4.11 goals per game this season with a .895 and one shutout.</p>



<p>C Derek Grant (lower body), LW Justin Kirkland (undisclosed), C Isac Lundestrom (finger), and D Jamie Drysdale (shoulder) are out indefinitely. D John Klingberg (illness) is questionable to feature on Thursday against Colorado.</p>



<p><strong>Avalanche are going up</strong></p>



<p>The Colorado Avalanche (26-17-1-2, 22-24) are playing their best hockey of the season as they are on a six-game winning streak. The Avalanche returned to Denver from a three-game road trip on which they defeated the Flames, Canucks, and Kraken, and then beat the Washington Capitals 3-2. Now, the reigning Stanley Cup champions are in the 7th position in the Western Conference with 55 points, ten behind the conference leaders Dallas Stars.</p>



<p>Colorado attempted only 26 shots opposite Washington’s 39, but Alexandar Georgiyev was excellent in the cage and stopped 37 shots to help his team win. Andrew Cogliano, Artturi Lehkonen, and Alex Newhook scored goals for the Avs, while Logan O'Connor chipped in a pair of assists. So far this year, Mikko Rantanen is the most productive Colorado player with 58 points (G 32, A 26), followed by Nathan MacKinnon (G 13, A 39) and Cale Makar (G 13, A 30), who have 52 and 43, respectively.</p>



<p>Alexandar Georgiyev is slated to start between the sticks against Anaheim on Thursday. The 26-year-old is allowing 2.62 goals per game this season with a .919 SV% and two shutouts.</p>



<p>LW Darren Helm (lower body), LW Gabriel Landeskog (lower body), D Josh Manson (lower body), RW Denis Malgin (upper body), and D Bowen Byram (lower body) are out indefinitely. D Cale Makar (upper body) is questionable to play on Thursday against the Ducks.</p>



<p>The Avs re-acquired their former forward Matt Nieto from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Jacob MacDonald. Both teams also traded some prospects.</p>

<p>Although the Avalanche’s offense is not as lethal as it was last season when they won the title, they are slowly improving offensively, but are also playing way better on defense than a few weeks ago. Colorado didn’t allow more than three goals in each of the previous seven games and kept the opponents to just one or none in four over that span. Anaheim has the second-worst offense in the NHL that averages 2.40 goals per game, and that’s why I expect the hosts to get a comfortable victory on Thursday.</p>



<p><strong>Pick:</strong> Take the Avalanche at -1.5 Puck Line (-145)</p>



<p><strong>The Total</strong></p>



<p>Not only that the Ducks are not a high-scoring team and are struggling on offense, but the Avalanche are among the top 10 in the league when it comes to defense. Colorado allows 2.70 goals per contest and only seven teams have better defenses at the moment. While I am pretty sure Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and co. are going to produce at least three or four goals against Anaheim, I doubt the Ducks’ offense will contribute enough to make a high-scoring affair out of this tilt. Under is 3-1-1 in the last five H2H meetings; Under is 23-9-2 in the Avalanche’s previous 34 overall, while Under is 5-0-1 in Colorado’s last six vs. Pacific Division rivals.</p>

Blue Cain also grabbed 11 rebounds to go with his 12 points.</p><p>Georgia's defense gave up 64 points in their last game, with the opposing team shooting 42% from the field, hitting 25 of their 59 attempts. North Florida Ospreys vs Georgia Bulldogs NCAA Basketball Betting Pick & Prediction 11/12/24

A much weaker field is on hand this week for the Honda Classic, which means that DFS players are left with a lot of tough choices. There are some pretty average players going off at big prices this week because Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, and a cast of others aren’t in the field.

That means that we really have to dig deep to find good value options at one of the toughest courses on the PGA Tour schedule. PGA National and the Bear Trap make life miserable for a lot of players and we’re going to have to be really selective this week with our selections.

<strong>Scott Langley ($6,800) – </strong>Shorter courses aren’t all that bad for Scott Langley. This course isn’t a beast by any means and it does help to be long off of the tee, but this course is more about precision around the greens and making putts. Scott Langley can make putts. Langley heads into this event leading the tour in strokes gained putting for the season. He parlayed that into a sixth-place finish at Pebble Beach and was 12th at the Desert Classic with 23 birdies and just six bogeys. He doesn’t hit it far, but he keeps it in the short grass, which is a big part of the equation here at PGA National. Langley is also top 50 on Tour in strokes gained around the green, which also goes a long way at this event.

<strong>Joaquin Niemann ($7,600) – </strong>You might as well use this week to take some shots on guys that have a ton of talent, but haven’t been living up to their potential. Joaquin Niemann fits the bill. Niemann has made seven of nine cuts, but hasn’t finished in the top 40 since November. It’s hard to count the kid out on a course like this because he possesses a lot more raw talent than the majority of the players in the field. Niemann is teeing it up at PGA National for the first time, so we don’t have any course form on him, but maybe the unknown is a positive here. This is a course that has conquered a lot of good players, as well as a lot of bad players. Niemann at least has the talent to attack this course head on.

<strong>CT Pan ($7,800) – </strong>CT Pan has been one of the more consistent players of the guys in the field this week. He’s made eight of nine cuts, though he really hasn’t had the finishes thus far. Pan did finish in the top 20 here last season with three 71s and a 69. It wasn’t an ideal outcome by any means, but Pan started 66-68 in 2017 before going 73-72 over the weekend. Once again, taking guys with a lot of potential that simply haven’t lived up to it is a decent play this week with the weakened field and the fact that this is a course that is unrelenting and unforgiving. Talent may push some guys through. Without a whole lot of horse for course types of plays, you really do have to take some shots in the dark.

<strong>Luke List ($9,200) – </strong>You may also simply have to lever up and take some expensive players. Luke List is one of them. List was runner-up last year to Justin Thomas in a playoff, which is why his price tag is so inflated. List also managed a top-10 finish back in 2016 and he played well for 54 holes in 2017 before a final-round 76 pushed him way off the pace. List is a big hitter capable of shortening this course and cutting through the wind. He’s also been one of the most reliable players at PGA National of the guys in this field. Really only Justin Thomas can lay a stronger claim to that distinction and he’s the most expensive guy on the card. Sometimes we just have to look at things for what they are and List is a guy worthy of being on your roster this week, even if you have to pay up for him.

<strong>Jason Dufner ($7,200) – </strong>Jason Dufner is not in good form at all, but he seems to have fallen through the cracks a little bit as far as this field goes. This is such a tough course and a tough event that players that have played well here are seeing inflated prices. Dufner is not seeing that inflated price, even though he has back-to-back top-20 finishes at PGA National. He was 17th last year and 14th the year prior. He finished outside the top 60 in 2016, but did open with a 68 and made the cut at 1-over. Unless you want to take a stab with somebody like 2014 winner Russell Henley, Dufner is probably the best option among guys at lower prices that have some sort of track record here.

<p>From Yankee Stadium in New York, we have the Dodgers and Yankees facing off in an interleague matchup. First pitch for Friday's matchup is set for 7:05 PM ET. SNLA will be televising this one, and the Dodgers are the slight money line favorite (-124).</p>

<p>The over/under line is at 8.5 runs, and Cody Poteet will be starting for the Yankees. They are 45-19 and have won eight straight. The Dodgers are 1st in the NL West with a record of 39-25.
