G Jeremiah Williams (Achilles) is out for the season. G Caleb Grill was absent from the last contest with a back injury, and it is unknown if he will take part in Tuesday's showdown versus Texas.



Longhorns edged Oklahoma in overtime



The No. 8 Texas Longhorns (21-6, 11-16-0 ATS) quickly forgot a road loss to the in-state foes Texas Tech Red Raiders and responded with an overtime 85-83 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners at home. It was the Longhorns’ sixth straight home win, but it didn’t come easily. Texas had a four-point lead in the final minute of regulation, but the visitors forced overtime thanks to Grant Sherfield’s three-pointer with seven seconds to go. The Longhorns nearly dropped a win again in OT, but this time around, Sam Godwin missed a game-tying layup as time expired.



Senior guard Sir’Jabari Rice led Texas with a game-high 24 points off the bench. Marcus Carr had 17 points, six rebounds, game-high four assists, and two steals, Timmy Allen chipped in 15 points, game-high nine boards, four dimes, and two thefts, Dylan Disu scored 12 with four rebounds, while Brock Cunningham posted a 10/4/4 line off the bench.
