<p>With just two events remaining on the 2023 FedExCup Fall Series schedule, there is a lot in store this week at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton Parish, Bermuda. Tournament play begins on Thursday, November 9th and ends on Sunday, November 12th.</p>



<p>This week is a critical week for players sitting just inside or outside 125th in the FedExCup standings. Following the conclusion of next week’s RSM Classic, players sitting inside the 125th mark will earn full status on the PGA Tour next season. The winner receives 500 FedEx Cup points and $1.17 million dollars of the $6.5 million dollar purse.</p>



<p>Seamus Power picked up his second PGA Tour victory here last season, defeating Thomas Detry by one shot. Power’s four-day total of 265 (19-under) earned the Irishman his only victory of 2022.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-port-royal-golf-course">Port Royal Golf Course</h2>



<p>The Port Royal Golf Course has hosted the tournament since it debuted five years ago in 2019. The Robert Trent Jones design went through numerous reroutings during its creation due to land land agreements. The course is the longest track on the island of Bermuda, reaching just over 6,800 yards in length and playing as a par-71.</p>



<p>Low scores have been the standard here over the last four years, with the winning score averaging just over 18-under par. Like many of the courses played on the PGA Tour near the ocean, unpredictable weather conditions can play a major role in the outcome of the tournament.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-butterfield-bermuda-championship-field">Butterfield Bermuda Championship Field</h2>



<p>The field includes three of the last four winners of the tournament in Lucas Herbert (2021), Brian Gay (2020), and Brendon Todd (2019). Adam Scott is in action for the second time this fall after finishing 41st at the ZOZO Championship. This will be Scott’s debut in Bermuda.</p>



<p>Lucas Glover, a two-time winner this season, tees it up again for the second week in a row and searching for win number three this year. The 43-year old has had a career revival this year since changing his putting grip, finishing inside the top 25 in eight of 29 events played.</p>



<p>Fresh off a T10 at the World Wide Technology Championship, Akshay Bhatia returns to Port Royal after a T17 in this tournament last year. Bhatia notched his first PGA Tour victory earlier this season at the Barracuda Championship.</p>



<p>Luke List, a winner this fall at the Sanderson Farms Championship, needs 17 points to jump inside The Next 10 (51-60th in the FedExCup Standings). That position will get him entry into the first two signature events of next season.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-betting-favorites">Betting Favorites</h2>



<p>Scott (+1600) comes into the week as the betting favorite backed by a strong year. The 14-time PGA Tour winner has made 16 of 18 cuts this year, finishing inside the top 10 in six of them.</p>



<p>Todd (+1800) won the tournament in 2019 and has finished three top-10 finishes over his last six events. Alex Noren and Thomas Detry sit at +2000 (<a href="/s/betdsi/">at BetDSI</a>). Both Detry and Noren continue to search for their first PGA Tour victories. </p>



<p>Rounding out the favorites is Bhatia, Herbert, Alex Smalley, and Taylor Pendrith all at +2200. All four players have a history of successful finishes at Port Royal.</p>

The Chicago Bulls (21-42) can snap a seven-game road losing streak when they clash against the Brooklyn Nets (28-34) at Barclays Center. The Nets held the Spurs to an offensive rebounding percentage of 4.4 (below their season average of 20.0) and had an effective field goal percentage of 0.609 (above their season average of 0.513). The two teams collectively scored 259 points, which finished well over the O/U total of 226.

These two teams have already met twice this year, with the Nets winning both. In the most recent matchup, Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 54 points and the Nets beat the Bulls 133-118, covering as 5.5-point favorites. He also had five rebounds and five assists. The two teams combined to score 251 points, which was 32 points above the projected point total of 219 points. Brooklyn's effective field goal percentage was its biggest advantage over Chicago. The Nets had a rate of 0.719 while the Bulls posted a mark of 0.558.
