<p>An exciting Western Conference Second Round series is set to begin Wednesday night when the Edmonton Oilers visit the Vegas Golden Knights. <p>Edmonton played the Los Angeles Kings in the first round and took care of business in six games. The Kings went up 2-1 in the series, but the Oilers took three tight games to advance to the second round.</p>



<p>In their game six win, Edmonton started strong and led 2-1 after the first period. It was a wild second period that saw the Oilers lead 4-3 and get one period away from the second round. Los Angeles tied the game up early in the third period, but with just over three minutes left the Oilers scored to clinch the series.</p>



<p>Kailer Yamamoto, who scored the series clinching goal, was joined on the scoresheet by Connor McDavid, Klim Kostin, who had two goals, and Leon Draisaitl. Seven Oilers recorded an assist in the series clinching win.</p>

<p>Vegas played the Winnipeg Jets in the first round and comfortably won the series 4-1. The Jets won game one, but it was all Golden Knights after that as they won four games in a row to end the series.</p>



<p>In the game five clincher, Vegas got on the board first and led 1-0 after the first period. The game was put away when the Golden Knights scored three unanswered goals in the second. Winnipeg scored a late consolation goal that had no bearing on the result of the game or series.</p>



<p>Chandler Stephenson, two goals, was joined on the scoresheet by Mark Stone and William Karlson. Six Vegas players recorded an assist in the series clinching win.</p>
