<p>After taking a weekend off, there will be some action on the PGA Tour again this weekend. While many of the biggest names are not going to be competing this weekend, there will still be some great players that are teeing it up.&nbsp;</p>



<p>This is going to be a chance for some other players to pick up a win that don’t usually win, and players want to get some momentum for bigger tournaments later on in the year. Betting odds have been set ahead of this event, and now is the perfect time to make some wagers.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Here is a look at the betting odds to win the Procore Championship, and a pick that should be made.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three in the Mix</h2>



<p>When looking at the betting odds to win the Procore Championship, there are three players that appear to be clearly in the lead. Betting on the favorites is not always a great option when it comes to PGA events, but the three favorites are in that position for a reason.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Wyndham Clark and Sahith Theegala are the two clear betting favorites to win the tournament this weekend as each player is sitting at +1200 when looking at the odds. There are typically players with much better odds for PGA Tournament events, but that’s not the case in this one.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Corey Conners is next on the list at +1400 to win the Procore Championship, and he is looking to take the next step this season. He is a player that has had some success on the PGA Tour, but at some point he is going to be trying to pick up some wins.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Best of the Rest</h2>



<p>Even though there is a big gap between the top three players and the rest of the field, it would be foolish to ignore other players. There are actually some very talented players looking to tee it up this weekend, and some big names to keep in mind.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Max Homa is coming into this event at +2000, and Luke Clanton has those same odds. It’s interesting to see Clanton with those odds, but Homa is a player that is capable of winning each weekend.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Min Woo Lee and Maverick McNealy could also win this event, and they are sitting at +2200 to win this weekend. Here are some of the other names to keep an eye on:</p>

Procore Championship Preview for September 2024

<p>At 8:00 ET, the Golden State Warriors (14-12) will travel to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (14-12) in a Western Conference matchup. The Timberwolves are currently favored by 3.5 points.</p>

<p>Golden State is currently on a three-game losing streak and is 10th in the Western Conference. Minnesota is 8th in the West and 3rd in the Northwest Division.</p><h3>GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES BETTING PICK</h3><p>The Pick: Golden State Warriors +3.5</p><p>This game will be played at Target Center at 8:00 ET on Saturday, December 21st.</p><h3>WHY BET THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS:</h3><ul><li>We have this one finishing with a projected score of 134-130 in favor of the Warriors.</li><li>Our projections have Stephen Curry finishing with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.</li><li>From the field, we have the Warriors finishing with a field goal percentage of 47.2% and knocking down 17 threes.</li></ul><h3>Can the Warriors Pull Off a Win at Minneapolis?</h3><p>The Warriors fell to 14-12 on the season after a crushing 144-93 road loss to the Grizzlies on Thursday. Entering the game as +2.5 point underdogs, Golden State failed to cover the spread, and the combined score of 237 points narrowly missed the O/U line of 238.5.</p> <p>Memphis set the tone early, going on an 11-0 run to extend their lead from 31-15 to 42-15. The Grizzlies continued to dominate, outscoring the Warriors 32-23 in the 2nd quarter and 40-21 in the 3rd. Golden State managed 34 points in the 4th, but Memphis still edged them 35-34 in the final period.</p><p>In their 144-93 loss to the Grizzlies, the Warriors shot just 35.6% from the field, with a 33.3% mark from beyond the arc, hitting 12 threes. Brandin Podziemski led the way with 21 points, 16 of which came in the 4th quarter, while Andrew Wiggins added 19 points, including 9 in the opening period.</p> <p>Kyle Anderson contributed 11 points, knocking down 3 threes at a 75% clip, and Jonathan Kuminga also finished with 11 points, 7 of which came in the final quarter. Wiggins connected on 4 threes, shooting 80% from deep.</p><p>The Warriors struggled defensively on Thursday, giving up 144 points to the Grizzlies. Memphis scored at least 32 points in every quarter, including 40 in the 3rd. The Grizzlies shot 54% from the field.</p> <p>Golden State also had trouble defending the three, allowing 27 made threes on 56% shooting. The Warriors sent Memphis to the line 15 times, where they made 11 free throws. Golden State finished with 11 steals and 5 blocks.</p><h3>Can Minnesota Secure a Home Victory?</h3><p>The Timberwolves fell to 14-12 on the season after a 133-107 home loss to the Knicks on Thursday. Minnesota, favored by 3.5 points, not only lost but also failed to cover the spread. The game’s total of 240 points went well over the pre-game line of 214.</p> <p>After a close 1st quarter (33-32), the Knicks went on an 11-0 run and dominated the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 41-18. New York extended their lead to 104-74 by the end of the 3rd quarter. Minnesota outscored the Knicks 33-29 in the 4th, but it was too late to mount a comeback.</p><p>In their loss to the Knicks, the Timberwolves shot 46.1% from the field, but their three-point shooting stood out, as they hit 17 threes at a 40.5% rate. <p>There has never been a repeat winner of the Chilukki Stakes, but She Can’t Sing hopes to change that trend this weekend. The six-year-old is trained by Chris Block, and Brian Hernandez Jr will take the ride.</p>



<p>She was excellent when landing victory in this race 12 months ago, clocking a speed rating of 94. However, she is winless in five starts this term, and a return to Churchill Downs needs to spark a revival.</p>

<p>William Mott unleashed Obligatory in this race two years ago, meaning that it can often unearth a promising runner to keep tabs on. Nostalgic could tick those boxes this weekend for the same trainer.</p>



<p>The four-year-old is back down in grade this weekend after she was last seen finishing a very respectable third in the G2 Beldame Stakes. She has been kept in high-quality company throughout the season, and she could take all the beating if repeating her form from Aqueduct last time out.</p>

<p>Todd Pletcher and Luis Saez join forces with Falconet in the Chilukki Stakes this weekend. The four-year-old looked progressive in listed company at Ellis Park earlier in the year when landing the Groupie Doll stakes.</p>



<p>She found the G3 Locust Drive Stakes a little too hot in September, but she still clocked a fairly respectable speed figure of 92. However, her overall record this year deserves respect, as she has won three from six starts, and has finished outside of the first three on just two occasions.</p>

<p>She Can’t Sing deserves respect based on her success in this race 12 months ago, but she could be vulnerable against a more progressive rival on Saturday at Churchill Downs. Therefore, the preference is for Nostalgic for William Mott and Florent Geroux.</p>



<p>The four-year-old is back down in grade, and a repeat performance from her run in the G2 Beldame Stakes would make her incredibly challenging to beat on Saturday.</p>

Duggan (92 rushing yards on 12 attempts, one TD) mounted the ground game in the defeat while Te'Vailance Hunt (three receptions, 34 yards) and Olonilua (one catch, -3 yards) led all TCU pass-catchers.

We have a phenomenal field on hand this week at Firestone Country Club for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The top 51 in the Official World Golf Ranking are all on hand along with 29 of the top 30 in the FedEx Cup points list. This is the last year for this event in Akron, as it will move to Memphis, Tennessee for future years. This has been a popular stop among players and the strength of this field is all the confirmation we need. It won’t be hard to find good players to roster, that’s for sure.

We’ll try to help you with your daily fantasy golf choices by looking for the top values. Everybody can take the top guys and hope for the best, but it’s often that low-cost missing piece that makes all the difference in your GPPs, 50/50s, or H2H matchups. <strong>Value Picks</strong>

<strong>Luke List ($7,200) – </strong>Let’s start by going down the, uh, list to find Luke List. This is a tremendous price for a guy that ranks among golf’s best players in strokes gained tee-to-green and strokes gained off-the-tee. Given the setup of Firestone Country Club, a par 70 that comes in at 7,400 yards, List’s ability to keep it in the short grass and hit it a long way is a good combination. This will be his first time at Firestone for the WGC event, so we don’t have any course form data, but he rates around guys like Henrik Stenson, Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, and Paul Casey in those two strokes gained categories. How is that not worth a shot here? We’re also getting a nice price because he’s had some MCs lately, but did finish third in the Scottish Open and had three rounds under par at Carnoustie.

<strong>Zach Johnson ($8,100) – </strong>Zach Johnson is just solid. He’s all-around solid. He won’t go out there and put up any eye-popping scores, but he’s not going to hurt you at all and comes at a reasonable price. Johnson has four straight top-20 finishes and he’s played extremely well at Firestone. He was the runner-up to Hideki Matsuyama last year, albeit five strokes behind the champ. He was tied for 10th at even par in 2016 after a very slow 6-over start. He’s running on a string of six rounds under par at Firestone and 12 of his last 16 rounds have come in under par in Akron. He’s worth a roster spot this week.

<strong>Tony Finau ($8,000) – </strong>When the proverbial lights are shining the brightest, Tony Finau has been able to thrive. Finau was ninth at The Open Championship, fifth at the US Open, 13th at The Memorial, and 10th at the Masters. Finau plays his best in the strongest events with the toughest fields. This event certainly qualifies. He hits the ball a long way, so he’ll be able to shorten this monster of a track and that is a big key for players looking to conquer Firestone.

<strong>Kevin Chappell ($7,300) – </strong>Kevin Chappell has been at Firestone twice and he’s played well both times. Chappell was on hand in 2016 and tied for third at 3-under with Matt Kuchar, Jason Day, and Jordan Spieth, which is some pretty good company. He finished 4-under last year with three rounds under par after a first-round 72. Chappell is tied for 11th in percentage of birdies or better on par 4s this season and the way to score at Firestone is to make birdies and pars on those very tough par 4s. Chappell is coming off of a top-10 finish at Carnoustie in which he only had nine bogies and a double out of the 72 holes. He’s in fairly decent form here and comes at a very cheap price because of the strength of the field.

<strong>Xander Schauffele ($7,900) – </strong>Like Tony Finau, Xander Schauffele has stepped up in the strongest events. Schauffele tied for second at The Open Championship two weeks. A month and a half ago Schauffele finished tied for sixth at Shinnecock Hills for the US Open. He was second at The PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass back in May. Schauffele seems to like these star-studded fields and he’s coming in at a great price with so much star power ahead of him. There are a lot of options this week and a lot of these mid-range guys are solid gambles. Given what Schauffele has done when the stakes are raised, he gets the nod over some of those other contenders.

<strong>Value Picks</strong>

<strong>Xander Schauffele ($7,300) – </strong>In a tournament full of names that you know, we’ll start with one you either don’t or aren’t that familiar with in Xander Schauffele. You probably should start paying more attention to him, though. Schauffele hits the WGC-Bridgestone on some kind of run. It started at the US Open when he finished fifth. He was 14th the following week at the Travelers Championship. A tough week at the Quicken Loans National turned into a win just a week later at the Greenbrier Classic. Schauffele was 20th two weeks ago at The Open Championship. He’s had some awesome finishes at some good prices and the strength of this field drives him down the board this week and turns him into an excellent value.

<strong>Kevin Chappell ($7,500) – </strong>Kevin Chappell picked up a top-25 finish at the US Open and then went in the tank for more than a month. Bad showings at The Open Championship and the Quicken Loans National resulted in missed cuts. Last week, Chappell finished eighth at the RBC Canadian Open. He had 24 birdies and really had it going with the putter. Chappell finished third in this even last year at 3-under, just three shots back of winner Dustin Johnson, in his first year at Firestone.

<strong>Bubba Watson ($7,700) – </strong>We keep waiting for Bubba Watson to show some of his old form. It just hasn’t happened yet this season. That being said, Watson looked good when he finished sixth at the Memorial Tournament at the start of June, so maybe he can channel some of that Buckeye State fortune into this weekend’s event in Akron. Watson has played very well here over the last few years. Watson was 2-over in 2013, but shot 67-69 in his first two rounds to put himself in a decent position before it unraveled over the weekend. In 2014, he shot even par. In 2015, Watson finished runner-up to Shane Lowry. Last year, Watson was 14th at 1-over. Watson’s length off the tee is an asset here on what is a fairly straight course.

<strong>JB Holmes ($7,600) – </strong>JB Holmes could have the right skill set for Firestone. Holmes is a big hitter off the tee and has been one of the better putters on Tour so far this season. What makes Firestone such a challenging track is the low par and the distance. The distance is manageable, but when players get to the greens, there is a whole new set of challenges. Holmes quietly has two top-20 finishes in his last three starts. He didn’t play badly at The Open Championship, but finished 54th. Holmes had four eagles last week at the RBC Canadian Open and fired a 32 on the back nine on Sunday, so he rolls into Akron with some momentum. He doesn’t have any particularly strong finishes here, but he’s a solid, steady player at this price.

<strong>Charl Schwartzel ($7,200) – </strong>We haven’t talked much about Charl Schwartzel this season. Schwartzel, who finished second at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, looks pretty solid last week at the Porsche European Open with a 12th-place finish. Schwartzel hits the ball a long way, which helps in terms of a course like this. He finished seventh last year at 2-under. He shot a respectable 1-over two years ago. He finished fourth three years ago at 9-under, including a first-round 65 and a final-round 64. He’s definitely worth a look at this price this week.
