<p>Denver lost two close games in Phoenix, but they continued their home dominance with a big game five victory. The Nuggets were the best team in the Western Conference during the regular season and that home court advantage is paying dividends in this series, so far. Now just one win away, the Nuggets took a 3-2 series lead with a 118-102 victory in game five.</p>



<p>Game five was an interesting one that saw the Nuggets jump out to an 11-point first quarter lead. The Suns did not just go away, though, as they battled back and were trailing by just three going into the half. After halftime, Denver put their stamp on this game by winning the quarter by 14 points and taking a 17-point advantage into the final quarter. It was a back-and-forth final quarter that led the Nuggets to their 16-point game five victory.</p>



<p>Nikola Jokic did Nikola Jokic things as he had 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists in the win. Michael Porter Jr. added 19 points and eight rebounds on the night.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-phoenix-suns-are-on-the-brink-of-defeat">The Phoenix Suns Are on the Brink of Defeat</h2>



<p>Phoenix has not been able to get close on the Denver home court, but they will not be worried about that now. The Suns have won both games on their home floor in this series and they will have to do that again to keep their series alive. A win on Thursday means it’s a winner take all battle in game seven and anything can happen with that.</p>



<p>In the game five loss, Keven Durant showed out with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Devin Booker added 28 points, six rebounds, and four assists on the night.</p>
