<p>Nevada sits at the eighth spot of the MWC standings with a 3-5 record. The Wolf Pack are No. 138 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 128 in the KenPom rankings. They score 104.7 points per 100 possessions and yield 101.3 in a return (151<sup>st</sup>).</p>



<h2 id="fresno-state-routed-san-jose-state-to-return-to-winning-ways">Fresno State routed San Jose State to return to winning ways    </h2>



<p>The Fresno State Bulldogs improved to 15-6 straight up and 13-6-1 ATS on the season following a 73-43 thrashing of the San Jose State Spartans this past Tuesday. They bounced back from a 68-63 home loss to Boise State in style, recording the fifth victory in the last seven outings at any location.</p>



<p>Once more, the Bulldogs relied on their stout defense. They held the Spartans to only 37.0% shooting from the field and 17.4% from beyond the arc. On the other side of the ball, the Bulldogs enjoyed a terrific night and made 58.7% of their field goals. Furthermore, the Bulldogs went 8-for-12 from beyond the 3-point line.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Fresno State is now 5-3 in the conference play, laying at the fifth spot of the Mountain West Conference table. The Bulldogs allow only 92.9 points per 100 possessions (28<sup>th</sup> in the country) on 40.5% shooting from the field (54<sup>th</sup>).</p>

<p>The Wolf Pack have gone 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings with the Bulldogs, and I expect Fresno State to finally put an end to Nevada’s dominance. The Bulldogs have been terrific defensively thus far, so the Wolf Pack will have a mountain to climb at Save Mart Center in Fresno.</p>



<p>Nevada hasn’t played well as of late. The Wolf Pack have defeated Fresno State at home thanks to a good shooting night. This time around, they’ll have a tall task to execute well offensively against one of the best defensive teams in the country.</p>

<p>Fresno State loves to take things slowly. The Bulldogs register only 61.5 possessions per 40 minutes (355<sup>th</sup> in the nation). On the other side, Nevada tallies 71.2 possessions per 40 minutes, so the totals are a tricky bet in this matchup.</p>

<p>Brian Ortega will be taking on Diego Lopes in the co-main event, and this was another fight that just seemed to be thrown together. These two featherweight fighters have both had successful careers and they should be looking to put on a show in this event.&nbsp;</p>



<p>While Ortega has been a <a href="https://bangthebook.com/sportsbooks/bookmaker" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">betting</a> favorite in nearly every single fight during his career, that is not the case in this fight. The odds are tight for this battle as well, but Ortega is a slight underdog at +115.</p>



<p>Lopes is coming into this fight with betting odds at -135, and he has picked up some huge wins throughout his career. Look for this fight to end early as both fighters will be aggressive, but taking Ortego as an upset pick is the way to go in this one.&nbsp;</p>

UFC 303 Betting Preview

The PNC Championship is probably a golf tournament that you had no idea was being played this week. It is a family affair, literally, at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida.

It seems fitting that a family tournament would take place in a city like Orlando, but this is not at all like a trip to Disney. This will be a fun, lighthearted event, but 36 holes worth of bragging rights and a little bit of prize money is on the line.

The total prize money is $1,085,000 with $200,000 going for the first place team. This is a par 72 course that will play 6,853 yards or so in length.

What makes this year’s event so special is that Charlie Woods, the 11-year-old son of Tiger Woods, who you may have heard of, will be teeing it up with his dad. That is not the only father-son team, but, well, it is the only father-son group with a preteen on the team. Matt Kuchar’s son, Cameron, recently turned 13.

Because minors are playing in this event, it can only be offered with the offshore, online sportsbooks, so you won’t find odds posted in a whole lot of places. Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason Donald, are the reigning champions of this event. Langer is actually a four-time winner of this tournament.

As far as the format goes, each player hits a drive and the best drive is selected. The second shot is played from that drive and both players hit again. That process is repeated until the hole is completed. So we’re basically looking at best-ball on every shot.
<h3><strong>Let’s take a look at some breakdowns of the teams:</strong></h3>
<strong>Justin Thomas &amp; His Dad, Mike – </strong>Mike Thomas was actually a great golfer in his own right at Morehead State and his son is the best current player in the tournament, no offense to Tiger or Bubba Watson. They are the rightful +250 favorites.

<strong>Tiger Woods &amp; His Son, Charlie – </strong>Charlie’s golf swing has gotten rave reviews, especially for his age, but this is a real golf course. Most of Tiger’s shots will be used and he’ll have to be on point with virtually everything. At +650, this is a virtually impossible bet to make, no matter how great the story is.

<strong>John Daly &amp; His Son, Little John – </strong>Not to be confused with Lil Jon. The younger John Daly will start his collegiate career at Arkansas in 2021 and his old man can still hit a few shots and shorten the course off the tee. At +1000, the Daly family isn’t a bad bet to make. Some sources, including Golf Channel, had Little John as the 25th-best incoming freshman in the country.

<strong>Tom Lehman &amp; His Son, Thomas – </strong>Tom Lehman still swings it pretty good and his son Thomas played college golf at Cal Poly. It runs in the family with the Lehmans. Bernhard Langer’s success in this event shows that you don’t necessarily have to hit it a mile to win. This is a dangerous team at +1600.
<h3><strong><u>Picks</u></strong></h3>
You have to take the Langers at +750. Bernhard has won this event too many times and his son is a quality player in his own right.

The Johns of the Daly family at +1000 have to be another look. Those are the two teams I would look to play on, but it’s not like you need to make big bets on this. It’s a fun event and a fun tournament and should make for great viewing.
