Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction & Odds — September 27, 2026

NFL GAME PREVIEW

Cincinnati brings an unbeaten start into Pittsburgh, where the Steelers need an offensive response after scoring just three points last week. Sunday's AFC North matchup puts Joe Burrow against a defense that has been tougher to move the ball against through the air.

Bengals arrive with two different types of win

Cincinnati beat Tampa Bay 33–27 in its opener, then went to Houston and won 20–6. The Bengals have already shown they can win a game that demands scoring and one their defense keeps under control. The Houston result also gives them a successful road outing to build on. That matters here: Cincinnati does not need Sunday's game to become a shootout for its recent form to look competitive.

Pittsburgh opened with a 20–13 home win over Atlanta before losing 20–3 at New England. The defense allowed 20 points in the defeat, but the offense gave it almost no support. Returning to Acrisure Stadium should put the focus on restoring the scoring from the opener. Another quiet offensive afternoon would make it difficult to capitalize even if the Steelers keep Burrow from posting a big game.

Pittsburgh's pass defense is the main obstacle

Burrow has 461 passing yards and three touchdowns, compared with Aaron Rodgers' 408 yards and one touchdown. Cincinnati averages 326 total yards to Pittsburgh's 278.5. The Steelers have allowed only 175.5 passing yards per game, however. Burrow faces the stronger part of Pittsburgh's early defensive performance; the Bengals cannot simply expect the passing game to create separation on its own.

Injury news

Cincinnati's B.J. Hill is doubtful and Andrei Iosivas is out. Pittsburgh's Jaylen Warren, Rico Dowdle and Michael Pittman Jr. are questionable. The Steelers' offensive availability is especially relevant after last week's scoring problems. Statuses were checked Friday.

BTB Betting Pick

Winner pick: Cincinnati Bengals. Spread: Pass. Total: Pass.

Cincinnati gets the nod to win. Its offense has supplied enough points in both games, and its road victory at Houston gives the Bengals the stronger recent performance away from home. Pittsburgh needs a sharper offensive showing to reverse that advantage.

There is no spread or total bet. Pittsburgh's home win and Cincinnati's narrow opening victory both leave room for a tight divisional game. The Bengals are the selection, but a comfortable winning margin is a tougher call.
