Despite Carolina tying the game at 14 in the 2nd quarter with a touchdown from Andy Dalton to Xavier Legette, the Bengals scored late in the 2nd quarter to take a 21-14 lead at halftime. Carolina added one more touchdown in the 3rd quarter, also a touchdown from Dalton, this time to Dionta Johnson, but the Bengals were already leading 31-21 heading into the 4th quarter.
