Bed o’ Roses Stakes Betting Preview
The action at Belmont Park is not done yet, as the Bed O’ Roses Stakes is going to be run at this historic race track as well. This is going to be the 10th race out of 11 that are on the schedule, but it’s typically the one that attracts the most attention.
Older horses are going to be competing in this race, and it’s going to be more of a sprint as opposed to a long race. There are some great horses already confirmed to run in this race, but the final draw won’t happen until later in the week.
You will want to wait until the final odds come out before making your final picks, but there are some horses to look at this weekend.
A Couple of Big Names
When trying to handicap a major horse race, you are always going to want to check out the horses that have had the best year up to this point. When the odds come out it will be Flying Connection that ends up being the betting favorite to win this event.
Flying Connection has put together an impressive resume, and trainer Rob Atras has been working with his horse to have him ready for this event. While Flying Connection might be the favorite, keeping an eye on Nyquist Bay is going to be a good idea as well.
Nyquist bay has gone 7-2-2 through the first 15 races of his career, but he has been taking advantage of some fields that are a bit weak. It will be interesting to see Nyquist bay and Flying Connection battle it out on the race track, and they should be pushing each other to run fast.

Others in the Field
There are some other interesting names set to compete this weekend, and it should lead to a terrific battle. The draw could determine how this race is won, but the best horses are going to get it done no matter what.
Apple Picker and Big Pond are two of the horses that have signed up to compete this weekend, and they could keep things interesting. Two other horses that should be in the running are Hot Fudge and Leave No Trace as they have had some success to begin the year.
There could always be some horses that drop out as well, and that will be something to consider.
Flying Connection Gets it Done
Even though all of the horses in this event are going to be good enough to come up with a win, it’s best to look at the betting favorites in this race. The odds are really going to be spread out after the top two horses, but you shouldn’t be tempted to go for the big win.
It’s going to be either Nyquist bay or Flying Connection that comes away with a win, and they are goign to separate from the pack. Taking Flying connection is going to be the right way to go as he will find a way to get through the rest of the field.
