When someone offers you a pleaser you may step back a minute and try to think about what it is exactly that you are being offered. Don’t fret a pleaser is a sports wager and it is one of the most enticing wagers that sportsbooks offer today. The problem is many recreational sports gamblers don’t even know they exist or how to play them. This article was written with that player in mind. This article will define what exactly a pleaser wager is and how the sports gambler can play it and how to get an edge while playing.

A pleaser wager is much like a combination of popular wagers the teaser wager and the parlay wager. The pleaser is similar to the teaser because you choose a set amount of points to be added to the game you are wagering on and is similar to the parlay because the payouts are fantastic on the pleaser wager, but there is a catch. The amount of points that you select in a teaser is usually placed for your team. In a pleaser wager the number of points you select is placed against your team. The bad news is the points count against you but the good news is because of this the payouts are very lucrative and will be well worth taking the risk if you hit one.
The payouts for football are as follows:

7 Point Football Pleaser (ties push)
2 teamer 8-1
3 teamer 25-1
4 teamer 60-1
5 teamer 150-1
6 teamer 450-1
7 teamer 700-1
8 teamer 1000-1
9 teamer 1350-1
10 teamer 1750-1

As you can see the payouts can get astronomical with the higher combinations but as always you increase your risk and lower your odds by placing a pleaser wager. For example lets look at two lines for the opening week of the NFL.

St. Louis PK Carolina
New England -7 NY Jets

If you wanted to place the Rams and the Patriots in a 7 point football pleaser you would essentially be giving 7 points to the Panthers and 14 points to the Jets. The odds against you rise but with a payout of 8-1 the risk can be worth the reward but be aware that ties are losses and perhaps the reason they offer 7 point pleasers.

When playing pleasers the gambler should always play them at a minimum and with smaller amounts much like the teaser and the parlay options. The risk involved can be worth it as long as the wager is not a gigantic portion of your bankroll. Too much of your bankroll will increase your risk to surpass your reward. If they are played with a very small portion of your bankroll then you lower your risk but still maintain a healthy reward. When it comes to selecting teams for the pleaser, you will want to try and stick with underdogs, preferably at home because then you will be looking for a team that just has a great chance of winning. This increasing your odds to win without giving up double digit points with a big favorite to be in with. Play smart and you may be very pleased that you started to wager in pleasers. 5 Dimes.com offers these wagers if your looking of a safe and reputable sportsbook to place a pleaser at.

Some of the best Sportsbooks for pleasers are: Sportsbook.com, Bookmaker, DSI Sportsbook and Caribsports.

Have fun with such wagers as the pleaser, teaser and the parlay and research them carefully. These types of wagers were not created to lose money for the sportsbooks yet to entice the bettor in to making another wager with the sportsbook. If enough time and research is put into them not only can you profit from this type of wager but you can have fun doing it!
