Two teams looking for the national spotlight hook up on Thursday night as Rutgers hosts North Carolina. The Tar Heels are looking for a rebirth under head coach Butch Davis while Rutgers wants to stay on the national stage with head coach Greg Schiano. Davis and Schiano are good friends as Schiano was the defensive coordinator under Davis at Miami. The game is being played on September 11th in New York so there will be a moment of silence before the game.

Fresno State at Rutgers Pick and Preview
Fresno State always wants to play a tough schedule and this year is no exception as they start the 2008 season on Monday at Rutgers against the Scarlet Knights. Last year Fresno had a difficult non-conference schedule as they lost to Oregon in a blowout and in three overtimes to Texas A&M. The Bulldogs still finished 9-4 and won their bowl game.
